OESD School of Embroidery #1 - Freestanding Lace

Create this beautiful lace picture frame while you learn the process of creating machine-embroidered freestanding lace. This project features both appliqué and lace. You’ll also go home with a bonus matching coaster design that uses the same techniques you’ll learn in class. This project is compatible with any machine with an embroidery capability of 5x7

Requirements: Supplies  2 pieces fabric 5 x 7  2 pieces fabric 2 1⁄2 x 3 1⁄2  2 pieces Double sided fusible 5x 7  2 pieces Double sided fusible 2 1⁄2 x 3 1⁄2  4 pieces Wash Away Stabilizer 10x 15 or large enough to hoop Other Supplies Needed: Threads:  thread in two colors: o Stitching details (should contrast with applique fabric) o Lace(outerportionofproject) Other Supplies and Tools:  Embroidery Needle Size 75/11  Bobbins wound with matching lace color thread  Applique Scissors  Snips or thread trimming scissors  Alligator Clamps Embroidery Machine  Embroidery Hoop (Large enough for 5 x 7 design)  Embroidery Module  Power Cord  Embroidery Foot  Embroidery Needle  USB Stick to load project design
