Block Party ~ Sampler Quilt ~ Accuquilt / Studio 180 Series

This is a 4 series class (you may choose to take individual sessions @ $20.00 per session ~ call shop to register for individual classes)

Each of the 4 sessions will focus on 2-3 blocks with a special topic highlighted in each.  Students will review how to create blocks using either the Accuquilt GO! method or the Studio 180 tools.

Sewing machine & supplies are optional.  Students may choose to treat the series as a lecture/ demo and complete their blocks at home...they are also welcome to bring their gear and sew during the session!

1/26 - Know Your Grid - Blocks are created using a grid.  Most common grids are 2, 3 or 4.  Learn how these grids impact the sizes of the blocks and the various ways to construct the blocks.

2/23 - Color Options - There are such a variety of color combinations that can be combined when creating blocks.  Sharon will cover some of the ways to create these combinations and how they impact the design of the block and quilt.

3/22 - Quilt Layout - Having a quilt put together either in rows or on point can influence and change the look of a finished quilt.  Learn some of the considerations that go into the layout decisions of a quilt.

4/26 - Border Selection & Options - Borders are the finishers of quilts.  Sharon will talk about some of the things to consider when bordering your quilt (OR NOT!).  She will also demystify the math in determining the amount of fabric you need for borders; both with and without seaming.

Size of your finished quilt will vary depending upon the decisions you make along your journey!
