Eco Friendly & Upcycle Sewing Series

In this 4 part series students will use fabric and other materials to create a variety of useful totes/pouches .

Week 1 - Reusable Fabric Grocery Bag.  This bag is made from 100% cotton fabric and features a front pocket so that you can fold your bag up and tuck it into your purse so you always have your bags on hand!

Week 2 - Candy wrapper zipper pouch.  Don't throw away those used candy and/or chip bags...turn them into great little zipper pouches to hold your essentials!

Week 3 - Fusible Plastic tote - Now that we are all trying to use alternative bags  to plastic...what do we do with all those plastic bags we have stored in every nook and cranny of our homes without adding to the landfill problem.  TURN THEM INTO RESUABLES!!!  In this class students will learn to fuse plastic to create a sturdy "tyvek" type of fabric and turn their throwaways into re usable bags.
(please note...this class requires us to open doors and window during the fusing process...if there is inclemate weather the date may change)

Week 4 - Upcycled Produce Bag - Bring an old T-Shirt and turn it into a great produce bag.  These bags are great because they are both sturdy and breathable for our produce that likes air.
