Holiday (or not) Mixer Cover - Zoom Class

 In the Mix Class Description You’ll keep the mixer clean and the kitchen pretty when you make a sturdy quilted mixer cover. Learn techniques for working with Soft and Stable, installing zippers, working with mesh and fold-over elastic, making and attaching bindings, and more.
This is a Virtual class, please have supplies and prep work prepared prior to class! Listed below 

The patten includes instructions for covers in three sizes to fit popular mixers. Be sure to measure your machine to determine which size will provide the best fit.

Class Supply List  In the Mix pattern  Fabric and supplies as listed on pattern back cover ALSO BRING TO CLASS:  Sewing machine in good working order with walking foot, 1⁄4" foot, and zipper foot. Don’t forget the extension table for your machine.  Rotary cutter and rulers  Basic sewing kit, including #90/14 topstitch needles, Wonder Clips, a stiletto, pins (the large yellow-topped quilting pins work best), scissors, thread, chalk marker or similar tool for marking lines, etc. BEFORE CLASS:  To make best use of class time, please complete step I. Determine Size on page 2 before you gather supplies. Watch the Add-on Video for help measuring your machine and make any adjustments needed to the cutting layouts and cutting instructions.  Then complete ALL of II. Cut and Quilt on pages 2 through 4 of the pattern BEFORE coming to class. Watch the Add-on Video for tips before you begin.  a. Begin by gathering supplies and cutting out the fabrics and Soft and Stable, being sure to attach labels to each piece. (Copy and cut apart the labels on pages 13 to 15 for the size that you are making.)  b. Then layer and quilt the selected pieces.  c. Finally cut out the quilted pieces and seal their edges. Refer to the Cutting Layouts on pages 4 and 5 as you go.
